Matte museum-quality art paper. Paper sizes are slightly longer than a postcard, so the image gets a narrow white border or is cropped a little; you choose.
Designs are free. You only pay once you choose a design and order a print.
Frames in oak, white or black, solid wood 3.2 cm deep. A stretched canvas without a frame is cheaper and looks artistic.
Shipping costs €12 within Belgium and the rest of the EU, for every size in the tables (framed paper 70 × 100 cm: €30). Each extra print in the same order costs only €3 more, even if it is a different design.
A real oil painting is also possible, from €500.
As a volunteer at Paalonline, I have been working on the heritage of my village for years, including the local dialect dictionary Dikke van Pale.
It started with old photos and postcards, which I had restored and colourised with AI. Then I wondered whether the same technology could do something with the funny sayings of our local dialect. That is how the dialect masterpieces came about: sayings taken literally and painted in the style of the old masters, with songs to go with them. On Heritage Day 2026 they hung as an exhibition on the trees in Paal.
Old postcards show what our streets, churches and cafés used to look like. I give them a new life, so they can hang on a wall again, in your home or as a gift for someone who grew up there.

I work on every image myself, using modern digital techniques, AI included, and plenty of handwork. Nothing is printed until you are happy.
No need to post your card. A scan or a smartphone photo is enough, and your original stays with you. You will receive your designs by email, with no obligation.
In digital archives, at local history societies, on Delcampe or eBay, at antique and flea markets, and in local history groups on Facebook. You can also simply send me the link.
A normal smartphone photo is often enough. If you scan it yourself, choose 300 dpi. I enhance images found online so they are suitable for printing.
Old postcards more than seventy years old are usually free to use. If you send a more recent photo or a scan from an archive, your request confirms that you are allowed to use that image.
